Gillett Sno-Riders Poker Run 2011
On Saturday February 12th, the Gillett Sno-Riders held their 2nd annual poker run. With snow on the trails, the event kicked off with over fifty people attending the poker run by snowmobile and vehicles. The poker run was a complete success thanks to all the participants and businesses who donated many awesome prizes and were a great help to making our day successful!
We would like to extend a thank you to the following that sponsored our run and donated prizes for the participants: The Barn Tavern, Blue Spruce, The Bull Pen, Circle B Bar & Grill, Downtown Charlie's, Club 32, Klaus Lake Bar, Rosie's Railway, Spirits of Gillett, Suring Lanes, Vollmar's Trailside, Wildfire Trails, and Kohls Family Farm-Curt Kohls. Thanks to Jeff Hertwig for providing the music that we all enjoyed that night and a special thanks to Jim & Cindy at Klaus Lake Bar for all of their help along the way and for putting on an excellent meal for everyone to enjoy!
Thank you to all of the participants who made our first event a success and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

July 4, 2009 was the 6th annual bike giveaway sponsored by the Gillett Sno-Riders. This year the club was able to give away 98 bikes to community members for free. The club spends many hours organizing the event and assembling the bikes. All of the bikes are displayed throughout the Gillett 4th of July parade and then raffled off afterwards. Each bike winner gets their picture taken with their bike and the sponsor and then featured in the local paper following the event. We would like to thank all of the businesses, organizations, and private parties that donated a bike. The giveaway would not be a success with out you! If you have any questions about the bike giveaway or would like to donate a bike, please contact an officer.

The Gillett Sno-Riders purchased a rescue sled and donated it to the Gillett Ambulance service. The rescue sled is used to transport people from places that an ambulance cannot get to such as lakes or woods. It can be hooked on to a snowmobile or ATV. For the times it has been used, the sled has been very beneficial to the ambulance service.
